Build the systems, oversight, and clinical infrastructure required to safely supervise providers.

The Medical Director in Medical Aesthetics Certification Course is an advanced, certification-level educational program designed to prepare licensed clinicians to assume the full clinical, legal, ethical, and systems-based responsibilities of serving as a medical director in aesthetic and wellness practices.

This course is built around the reality that medical aesthetics is the practice of medicine, and that the medical director role carries continuous, non-transferable accountability for patient safety, delegation, supervision, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Rather than focusing on procedural technique or business ownership, the curriculum emphasizes oversight systems, risk mitigation, protocol development, quality assurance, and decision-making at the medical director level.

Participants learn to:

Establish defensible clinical infrastructure, including standing orders, SOPs, delegation matrices, competency validation, emergency preparedness, and incident response systems. The course integrates real-world enforcement scenarios, audit expectations, and case-based decision-making aligned with regulatory and board standards.

Successful completion of the course and certification examination signifies readiness to serve as an engaged, accountable medical director, not merely to hold the title.

This course is designed for licensed clinicians who are currently serving, or are considering serving as medical directors in medical aesthetics, including:

  • Physicians (MD/DO)
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Physician Assistants

It is also appropriate for practice owners seeking a clear understanding of appropriate medical oversight responsibilities.
